Access to care supports overall health.

About This Issue

Access to health insurance coverage matters.

Having health insurance — including Medicare, Medicaid, marketplace and employer-sponsored coverage — helps Missourians manage their health. The uninsured often delay the care they need, which can lead to poor health and long-term harm. Coverage, and a strong local and regional health care delivery system, support Missourians’ ability to find the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
